Where has the Metal scene gone? Once upon a time, bands like Metallica and AC/DC ruled the airwaves with exciting riffs and blistering solos. But over the years, the metal scene has transformed from the mega bands of the 70’s and 80’s that sold out arenas with dazzling pyrotechnics and crazy antics to an underground subculture that doesn’t receive the respect nor the publicity that it deserves. Somehow America’s love for real music seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur. Well, we here at Mandependence intend to rectify this situation.We’re going to bring metal back to the forefront of the music world where it belongs. Over the next few weeks we’re going to dive into some of the best new metal acts on the scene. We aim to give readers some fresh tunes for their iPod’s, and these excellent bands some much deserved props. Included will be bands from all sub categories such as Nu Metal, Post Hardcore, Metalcore, ect. No sandy vaginas over exact genre; it’s all “metal” baby.
