It’s finally back! Listen, I am not a fan of reality television with one exception. That is Ax Men on the History Channel. The first episode of the new 2012 season aired on Sunday night and I cannot think of a more manly show. Whether it is Pond Bear Swilley, Shelby Stanga, or Gabe Rygaard, all of these guys are what TV needs. I can say without any equivocation that this is not staged. I would legit hangout with just about any of these guys. Ask yourself, what is more manly than cutting down trees?

Legit, it might be the most manly job out there. You wake up every morning and crush three stacks of flapjacks and go out and swing an ax of death to mother nature. If your in the south, instead of going around and cutting down trees, you drive out to the swamp in makeshift boats and dig out ax cut logs from 100 years ago. The only question that comes up, is which guy on the show is more manly. Shelby Stanga is the Arnold Schwarzenegger of logging.

If you are looking for the manliest shows on TV, Ax Men is probably one of the most manly shows that you can possibly watch. Big Al and I have been watching this show religiously and I would highly recommend you give it a shot as well. So on Sunday night grab the Aunt Jemima syrup make some Bisquick pancakes and watch Ax Men and you will not be disappointed.
