This debate has contested the gaming world for awhile. For anybody who has been born post 1975, gaming is becoming more and more a part of our lives, economy, and pop culture. We play games on our phones, computers, and of course buy the actual consoles. Which console is the best?  Both have the accolades, both have the signature games, and both are embraced by a cult-like following. We are going to decide which gaming console is better, PS3 or Xbox 360.I own both and ended up in a heated debate on the matter this past weekend. Both have their strengths: PS3 providing better graphics, free online play, and a Blu-ray player while Xbox is geared towards true gamers, provides a more user friendly gaming interface, and a larger gaming community. PS3 has exclusive titles like God of War, Uncharted, and MLB ’11 while Xbox has HALO. Both are worth buying but which one provides the better bang for your buck? Owning both and playing both regularly provides us a better insight than the person owning just one console. Here’s the breakdown:

DOM pick: PS3- The PS3 just offers too much for the Xbox to overcome. The fact that the internet access is free, is a huge selling feature for a product that also supplies more bells and whistles. If you buy one year of Xbox Online you are going to spend a combined amount that would equal close to the cost of just buying a PS3. Adding in a more adult style game and rechargeable wireless controllers, make the PS3 the clear winner.
