Summer time is when a man kicks back, relaxes, finds new excuses to not mow the lawn, and cracks open a delicious brew. Summer beers are true applications by necessity. I myself am a proud stout and porter drinker, but even I put away the Samuel Smith’s Imperial and Smuttynose Robust Porter and open up the lighter side of the beer family occasionally. Don’t get me wrong, I do not sacrifice flavor in the summer. You and I both know if you down an Old Rasputin at noon while mowing the lawn in Florida your grass will turn into a post-Courtney-Love-concert-toilet real quick. Think about it.
